Island Thyme is a line of skin and beauty products that is totally natural and botanically based.
This family run small business calls the San Juan Islands its home base and clearly draws inspiration from all the clean pristine water, foliage and wildlife the Pacific North West has to offer. We love that they make their products by hand in small batches at their combination farm/apothecary, ensuring that it’s quality over quantity every time. A true farm to bottle experience since 1996!
We had the pleasure of sampling a wide range of their offerings and were not disappointed. The perfect addition to someones stocking! Read on to find out why we <3 Island Thyme or just skip straight to their webstore if you are like us and you need to cross things off your list, like, yesterday.

The folks at Island Thyme are “passionate about aromatherapy and have a deep respect for the healing properties of plants and their extracts”. To me, this approach really sums up the foundation of wellness.
You can tell that this isn’t just a day-job, but rather a life long commitment to learning and growing with the concept that the journey towards health and wellness starts and ends in our beautiful earth, not over-the-counter at the drug store.
I love the short but powerful list of ingredients in the products I tested. A standout was the simple but effective Calendula Comfrey Cream that we slathered on to relieve everything from a light diaper rash to dry winter feet. We’ve also been loving the Respiratory Stick this cold and flu season. It was a lifeline on our flight home from Europe when everyone was on the verge of full sniffles and the recycled airplane air wasn’t helping…
Island Thyme employs simple and natural branding and packaging that compliments this down to earth apothecary. The honest list of ingredients are easy to find on each item. This no frills approach means that the essence of each product shines brighter than the container it’s housed in. Island Thyme looks beautiful and refined on my bathroom vanity. Simple natural elegance.
I also love a good bundle, and boy does Island Thyme make a great gift boxes! The New Mother Self Care Set, Remedies and Soothers and Gardener Deluxe all caught my eye as savvy kits to give and receive.
Island Thyme has been the passion project and livelihood of Eliza and Chris Morris since 1996. The small-scale apothecary has grown organically ever since and now includes a full range of amazing products that celebrate and honour the local abundance and ethos of the Pacific North West.
All of Island Thymes beautiful soaps, creams, balms, scrubs, and oils are made by hand in a studio built by hand over looking the very farm where many of the ingredients are grown and harvested. This hyper local approach is a key factor in Island Thymes low-carbon foot print. Did we mention that the studio has a living green roof?!?!? #dreamy
