Natursutten Pacifier

Like most decisions we faces as parents, there is much debate surrounding the choice to use pacifiers. If you have decided that a pacifier is right for you and your little one, finding one that is made of materials that are great for the environment, and the health of your baby, doesn’t have to be tricky. Natursutten is a Danish company founded and run by a mama that makes all-natural rubber pacifiers.

For our son a pacifier hasn’t become part of our daily lives, but we have  a few Natursutten Pacifiers on reserve should the need arise. Natursutten’s environmental practices and 100% natural pacifiers have won me over and will be the only pacifier in my plastic-free nursery.

The Natursutten is designed with babies in mind. The full circular shield mimics the feeling of having the baby’s nose pressed to the mother’s breast. It is one continuous piece with no cracks or crevices to harbour dust and disease. made of 100% sustainable rubber and clean Scandinavian design it is attractive and functional.

Natursutten are made from 100% natural rubber and are therefore totally biodegradable. Natursutten has taken care to ensure that their pacifiers are not packaged in a way that is detrimental to the planet. The boxes that the pacifiers come in are made of Forest Stewardship Council Certified recycled paper products and printed with nontoxic soy ink. The instructions and information is printed directly on the boxes interior to limit paper. They also adhere to strict Danish waste and recycling standards at their offices.

Value Rating:

9.99$ is a fairly standard price for a 2-pack of conventional pacifiers. Making the Natursutten about 2x as expensive as its plastic counterpart. I think it is more than worth it, especially if you have a baby that loves their pacifier and is using it all the time!
