Home Ec: Curing warts naturally

Years ago, when I went off to college, I didn’t go alone. I took with me three warts on the tip of my left index finger. I had worked for years trying to get rid of them: over the counter creams, that weird freezing thing the doctor does, and I had even chewed it off in desperation once. It’s not that nothing worked, it’s that when it did they always came back. Then, finally, I tried a crazy trick I found in a Home Remedies book and….. 20 years later they still haven’t reappeared.

What’s the trick?

6 1/2 days of duct tape.

This is how it’s done…

You put duct tape on the wart. (Remember, my warts were on my finger tip so this was easy to do) and you change the duct tape when you need to… about two to three times a day. You leave the wart covered day and night in this duct tape for the entire six and half days. If they aren’t gone. You go for an additional six and a half. I think I ended up with a total of 11 days.

At the time, I also read that visualizing–or meditating–on the wart disappearing alone is just as effective as any other more “medical” treatment. So, I threw in a lot of visualizing as well.

Another home remedy that I’ve been told really works is cold processed, castor oil. Apply it daily and cover it with a band-aid.

Good luck! Let me know if it works.
